What if you could not fail?
I have a very important question for you…
What would you attempt if you knew for sure that you would not fail?
I often challenge myself with this question, especially when I start to feel like I may not reach a goal or when I’m afraid of moving forward. After working with this idea for years, I found the answer when I engaged in the actual "attempt."
One recent milestone marks the perfect example of this challenge in action. As of today, I have completed my 200-Hour Yoga Training! This is a goal that began in my heart years ago, but for a long time I never made my “attempt.” There were so many times I could have started the program, but fear kept me from moving forward.
When I finally took the leap, I was challenged not only by my fear, but also by the pandemic which tested my willpower greatly. Does that sound familiar? Has there ever been a time when you have the best intention only to find yourself wrestling with resistance?
Well, one thing I've learned is that sometimes the outcome is not as important as what is gained in the process of trying. Despite having even more fear and uncertainty about whether I would succeed and complete my yoga teacher training, this time I decided to act as if I would not fail. Without my fear of failure holding me back, I completed my training and learned so much along the way.
What I would like to remind you today, as I celebrate my yoga certification, is that it is never too late to set a goal and have a new vision. It is never too late to wake up with the conviction that you will become a new version of yourself. It is never too late to try.
So, I would love to know…what would you attempt if you knew for sure you would not fail?
